Use of this site

A number of years ago I pulled down all of my genealogy information from Ancestry.com and genealogy.com because I had been able to prove that they had taken the information that I had posted and placed it onto their information that is for sale. There was a nasty comment that someone had made about my Koontz research (which was on my own and not using paid information- and was correct). Rather than respond with a war of words, I took the information off of the web.

Funny to have information come back via other sources too.

Just remember- that if you want to use this site- feel free to do so. I have owned this URL and site since 1997 and much of the genealogical work is older than that. I add to it but the fundamentals have not changed. I ask that you do not steal from me and respect my ownership of the material including the photos. If you want copies that is fine- just please do the right thing and ask first.

  1. Jeanne Kardash Says:

    Dear Michael,

My maiden name was Croucher, granddaughter of Elizabeth Habersack Croucher. My father, Melvin, is the brother of Catherine, Stewart, Charles and Herbert Croucher. Unfortunately, in just browsing the geneology of our families, I did not see my father’s name mentioned. I think he would be the 8th generation removed. Please feel free to contact me if you need further information.
